Kronos has developed numerous business systems and we prefer the J2EE stack to provide all the needed services, with complete portability and no vendor lock. Application server experience includes: JBOSS, Websphere, Weblogic, JRun, Tomcat, etc. We know all J2EE technologies such as servlets, JSP, message queues, EJB, SOAP, JMX, etc.

One notable example is a crime analysis system, developed for Motorola's public safety group. A J2EE application was designed, implemented, and validated using a complete Java/J2EE framework. The application allowed for crime pattern analysis and specialized queries using GIS imaging and geolocation. Crime reports were consumed into the system via message queues. Designated personnel with the proper role were permitted to access the system using a standard web browser.

Another example is a Logistics Management System for the containerized shipping industry that accepts customer orders electronically or via the web and manages the orders by ordering service from numerous vendors, tracking the status of the orders, providing a full audit trail, and interfacing with the financial systems.
